How to get the time marker.

To get time marker use this form. You will be asked to download pgp file, which introduces time marker. The downloaded document contains the necessary attributes and your open data.

Don't worry, your data won't be saved anywhere, only you receive this document. At the same time the system saves the time marker available to anyone. This time marker doesn't contain your data, it contains only hash. The reserve is needed to form the connection in series of time markers.

How to check time marker.

PGP key, which gets signs of time marker, is kept on the server. To come down the risk of his falsification the following plan is used:

There is a master key, kept in complete secret. This key is used only for marking service keys.
Service key is used for marking time marks.

So, as far as service keys are regularly changed the risk of falsification comes down.
The series of time marks decrease and will be discredit in case of service key falsification.

Service key is a PGP key used for signing time marks and is kept on the server.

Master key is a PGP key used for signing service keys and kept in complete secret.
 

Thus the validity of time marker is checked by open part of the service key, and the validity of service key is checked by open part of master key.

Why  can I trust service.

As it has been already mentioned in introduction, time marker forms series of markers in which every subsequent mark contains the evidence of being given after the previous mark. (mark contains the hash of the previous one). Thus the risk of falsification of time marker comes down. If the service gives a time marker with hind-sight, it can be detected.

The use of connecting time markers allows to control the service.

You can periodically make your time markers. Then you will be absolutely sure in veracity of any mark, which is included in mark series between your control time marks.
